Summary: We stayed for ANYC as vendors. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had it not been for the rain on Thursday, I would have given the hotel a higher rating. But due to the rain and older state of the hotel, part of the ceiling collapsed in the restroom. Plaster was all over the toilet, floor, and shower and continued to fall and increasingly grow bigger. I had to go to the front desk and complained twice. They said they would send someone to our room, but an hour passed, no one showed up. We could not comfortably sleep, not knowing if the ceiling was going to collapse over our heads in the middle of the night. They did not have any extra rooms, being fully booked, and it took me demanding they find us a new room at a neighboring hotel for them to take action. Even then, it took over 2 hours to get it all sorted, and we were not able to sleep until 1am at the new hotel, due to miscommunication. I would give management a 1-star for not having any sort of customer service experience or safety knowledge for their guests. Aside from the glaring safety issue, the first room we were given was not thoroughly cleaned: dust lined the back panels of the bed and I found used eyelashes littered across. However, the AC was great and kept us cool at night for the days we did stay. It really is a no frills hotel, and its only perk is that it is close to the convention center, which averaged about a 7-minute walk.
