Walk everywhere! This tropical oasis is a stone's throw from the main beach entrance, cafés, restaurants, shops and best surfing spots. Many of our guests don't feel the need to rent (or use) a car. We offer a golf cart for rent that is useful to visit nearby beaches, grocery runs and exploring restaurants and neighborhoods outside the center.

Maximum 6 people. No outside guests allowed on the property. This is a family friendly, non-smoking property and all suitable for parties and loud events.
You will have access to the entire home, garden, front yard and pool. All of which is fenced and private. There is one sizeable parking space inside the gated property and another in our safe lane outside. When not in use a house golf cart is parked in a corner of the property.
My local property manager and I are both available to answer questions and will do our best to make your stay memorable. For check-in, she can either meet you in person or leave the keys in a lock box, depending on your preference and time of arrival. We are happy to guide you away from tourist traps and offer recommendations for airport pick up, activities, drivers, chefs, massage therapists and nannies.

Originally a traditional fishing village, Sàmara has transitioned into a cosmopolitan community where locals and foreigners live in harmony. Our town is small, friendly and slightly off the beaten track. There are plenty of restaurants/bars, pharmacies, doctors, supermarkets, activities in the town. We don't have any chain hotels nor do we have big brand shops. The grocery stores are sizable and there are also options to enjoy the locally sourced produce, fish from the ocean and coffee from the nearby hills. You can also explore other beach towns from Sàmara. We are 40 minutes from Nosara (Playa Guiones, Playa Garza, Playa Pelada), 10 minutes from Playa Carillo and 45 minutes from Punta Islita and Camaronal.
Casa Verano is located in downtown Sàmara, but in a quiet/private lane that ends in a lush jungle. The house is steps from all the shops/bars/restaurants and a three minute walk to Sàmara beach. Best of all worlds!
You can walk everywhere in town. The bus stop at the end of our lane can take you to Nicoya, Carillo, Nosara, San Jose or Liberia. Taxis are available on-call. Alamo car rental is a one minute walk from the house. We can also arrange transportation from our trusted vendors.
Being close to the jungle comes with the unique sounds of Howler monkeys and birds, colorful foliage, exotic animals and sometimes bugs. Please don't be surprised if harmless critters visit during your stay, we are in their home. We fumigate with non-toxic products regularly and our team works hard to keep the house impeccably clean but sometimes nature is out of our control.
While rare, sometimes intermittent power and internet outages do happen in Costa Rica and we are not immune. Local providers usually work on them right away. We have a UPS battery attached to the internet that can also be used for charging of electronics for upto an hour. The town's best co-working space is around the corner with multiple providers, back-up generators, stand-up desks, private rooms and excellent coffee.
