Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Notwithstanding the frequent aircraft engine roars due to the property's proximity to the airport, the location is otherwise perfect with just a 5-minute drive to/from the international airport, and tucked cosily away from the main road. By chance, we also got to meet with the property owner who exuded a genuine desire to see that his guests were comfortable.

Negative: The fact that we had to make numerous calls to the reception the entire first day of our stay to fix a number of issues including a leaking pipe in the master bedroom restroom, an empty gas cylinder, non-active Wi-Fi and non-active television set. The gas was fixed almost immediately on Sunday morning. However, the TV and the leaking pipe were not fixed at all, and the Wi-Fi was eventually fixed by the owner of the property himself on Sunday evening - through patience and professional communication with the Digicel operator on duty. Our disappointment was that we couldn't use the Wi-Fi for the whole day, and the staff kept giving all types of excuses including that the technician was making his way to the property! We were offered to move to the next villa, but we had already unpacked and we didn't want to move to another villa if we were going to face the same issues. It is important for the duty managers to do their job thoroughly by checking or assigning specific staff to check on all the amenities after a guest departs and well before the next guest comes in. On this occasion, it took the owner to fix the Wi-Fi, which confirms the old adage that if you want something done to a high standard, you got to do it yourself! Kudos to the owner. His attitude convinced us to make a constructive review and provide a near exceptional rating.

Summary: We enjoyed the spaciousness of the villa, and the professional courtesy of the property owner.
